Costa coffee machines were designed and built to a specification as required to satisfy the requirements of both Costa Coffee and Road Chef Motorway Service Stations.
They are intended to supply hot drinks in volume, quickly supplied whilst the public pass through the café / shop.
Payment is made for the items purchased at the shop till.
The livery was specified by Costa to an exact colour to match the existing café furniture and fittings. The external finish of the units had to be Rosewood as near as possible to the specification.
The coffee machine units supply coffee, hot chocolate, and tea from a single machine with modest foot area.
The coffee is made from fresh ground beans, and the tea is freshly brewed from a variety of special teas with boiling water supplied from the internal boiler.
The units were constructed by BDA using Rosewood laminated board, clad with brushed stainless steel fittings, and an illuminated canopy.
Internally the unit houses the coffee machine, a fridge holding a large pergola of fresh milk, a water boiler with electronic controller, and a waste disposal container.
The front of the machine has a stainless steel formed counter and drains, and 4 large access doors.
The upper doors hold the incidentals such as the tea sachets, the sugar, the stirrers, small one shot milk containers and tissues. |
