A Youth Outreach Vehicle commissioned by Humberside Council to take youth facilities to the outlying villages surrounding the city. Educational, play, sexual health are just a few of the uses.
Based on an Iveco 65c 4750wb chassis scuttle, the bespoke BDA body structure is constructed of Cromweld 3cr12 sheet and tube and clad with aluminium sheet with GRP moulded panels to front and rear.
The central outward opening double doors allow easy access to the Ratcliffe mechanical step / disabled lift. The vehicle has 3 distinct usable areas to allow various activities to be simultaneously used.
The cab is accessible through the sliding door and can be used as a one to one meeting room, the forward area of the saloon houses the kitchen, small lounge, and IT suite, LCD TVs , DVD player, Internet connectivity are fitted to complement the facility. Through the centre sliding door is the rear lounge where up to 12 people can be seated on red leather deep buttoned U shaped couches. A large drop leaf central table allows group discussions to be held, with additional facilities such as LCD TVs, DVD player, halogen down lighters, CD player etc. The vehicle is powered by its own 3.5kw on board diesel powered generator and has separate heating supplied from a diesel powered combustion heater. |
