The Dennis Fire Cab was constructed at Dennis Eagle Blackpool to be shipped to Dennis Eagle at Guildford to be mounted to the chassis and fire tender body.
BDA have supplied design effort to a number of the cabs and in particular the 10 man unit.
As well as design effort, BDA have also manufactured the original timber patterns for the new front end GRP panels. The original styling schemes were drawn out at BDA.
then the timber master patterns were constructed and fitted to a donor cab unit and then approved prior to having the moulds made for GRP part manufacture.
The cab framework is constructed of 3CR12 Cromweld formed steel sheet, clad with GRP moulded panels and internally trimmed with modern materials. |
